With reference to Activity two, there is scope for Extension Work for those students that have displayed sound or high knowledge of the material being delivered.
Activity Two Extension Work: Have the student complete the same task however this is to be done at home and with the aim of identifying objects found in the home. You will need to ensure that the student has access to a camera at home that he/she can use and also the ability to be able to download this onto the class' work page (Class Wiki) for this subject, or at least be able to saved to a USB stick in order for the teacher to be able to print/save the image.
When completing this Extension Work task, have the student try and match up shapes that they use on a daily basis. For example, i-pad (rectangle shape), mouse pad (square or oval shape) etc.
